The Whirlpool 4812817296322 (also known as part 4396508) is commonly used throughout Europe in both Whirlpool's own fridges and some additional models badged by third parties (Smeg etc). It is quite distinctive in that it fits into the base grille of the filter, beneath the two opening doors, with a simple 'insert and twist' type fitment.
Its a standard taste and odor filter based on carbon block technology, which will reduce chlorine, sediment and dissolved organics.
This will also fit Smeg models and other refrigerators which use 'base grille' fitting cartridges
