The DA29-10105J superceeded the WSF100 filter range, and was supplied on many Samsung fridges using external filters from about 2009 onwards. The cartridge differs from its predecessor in that it uses push fit connectors at either end as opposed to screw threaded connectors. Whilst this is convienient and appears a little easier for the customer, these connectors -can- potentially lead to trouble over time, since every time the tube is connected (and subsequently disconnected) the 'gripping' mechanism scores the ends of the tube - potentially creating channels which lead to small drip leaks over several years.
Our GS10J cartridge, designed originally to replace the predecessors of this filter (EF9603 and WSF100) will serve as a direct replacement and uses what we believe are more secure and stable 'thumb-nuts' to hold the tube in place (Samsung used this design themselves originally). The GS10J is a standard carbon based taste and odour filter, which will remove Chlorine, sediment and dissolved organics.
The GS10J should be replaced every six months. Pack includes full fitting instructions and a spare mounting bracket
