The GE Smartwater MWF filter (superceeds the GWF filter used in older models), and is a simple 'push up and twist' bayonet style filter - Fitting within the fridge compartment itself.

This cartridge is based on block carbon technology and removes chlorine, sediment and dissolved organics.   It also removes some heavy metals, such as lead and mercury,  and is NSF certified.

Cartridge life: 6 months
