The Samsung DA29-00003A series was introduced in the UK as early as 2004. Fitting, like many true 'American' brands, inside the refrigerator compartment itself, this filter was one of the first popular internal cartridges on the UK market. Previous to this virtually all UK fridges had externally fitting cartridges which required shifting the fridge in order to get behind it - not easy with a big heavy side by side full of forzen food!
The genuine Samsung filter for the older external style costs about £30 or so, but the Internal filter costs between £50 and £70 in retail outlets - essentially double the price! Furthermore because the DA29-00003B filter is tooled specifically for Samsung Fridges so cannot easily be substituted for a cheaper model (unlike the externals).
We cannot supply a compatible for the DA29 series so basically we've done the next best thing and bought -thousands- of these into stock.
